Mind Spirit Body Hypnosis: What are the main symptoms of anxiety?
The feeling of anxiety is not curable but we can learn to manage its effects. Anxiety is a future-based fear or worry of an event reoccurring. Anxiety will continue even if the stressor has been removed.
Anxiety has many signs and symptoms and may include:
- lack of concentration and focus
- feeling of weakness or fatigue
- feeling nervous, restless, or tense
- increased respiration
- feeling of impending doom
There are many more signs and symptoms of anxiety and we may experience it differently.
Anxiety is rooted in the past from feelings of shame, anger, trauma, and guilt. remorse, regret, and frustration. All these feelings/emotions help create and energize the anxiety.
How does Hypnosis help?
Hypnosis is a very powerful tool to help with the symptoms of anxiety. It will help you relax, calming each muscle, and each nerve to simply calm down. Those who suffer from anxiety are very aware of negative self-talk, that voice in your mind that never seems to slow down or stop. There are several techniques to help: changing the volume and speed of those words just to name a few.
MRIs have revealed anxiety is a left-brain hemisphere issue, one of my favorite techniques is to use a tennis ball. One part of this process is to simply pass the tennis ball from one hand to another (eliciting the right hemisphere and moving blood flow to the right side).
Timeline Therapy (TLT) is also a very powerful tool to help with anxiety relief. The client is taken back to an event, given resources and helped to re-frame the original event.
